Dense dark ruby colour with a purple hue. Youthful but layered nose of tobacco, dry spices, ripe dark fruit and a hint of fine oak. The palate is dense and concentrated with a vigorous freshness and plenty of grainy tannin, still unresolved but crunchy dark fruit with tobacco and fine spice notes. Good grip and a very long finish. A wine that should develop superbly.
