Château Lipartiani – 2012

Intense dark purple core with a lighter rim. Some maturity on the nose, a balsamic spiciness, wild herbs and sweet almost dried fruit like figs and prune. The palate is very dense, almost massive, still youthful but no hard edges, still a tannic presence and sweet dark fruit notes paired with wild herbs, leather, Kirsch and a long finish. Still feels like it needs time to open but plenty of stuffing.
