France,
Bordeaux,
Youthful with a quite inky colour. Medium to high intensity, blue-purple hue. Attractive nose, combining a hint of vanilla, some roasted oak, but quite fine wood here. A high level of ripeness, with darker fruit aromas such as blackcurrant, plum, dark cherry. There is a hint of herbal spiciness in the direction of sage, bay leaf, fresh tobacco. Good bite on the palate. A bit more than medium weight. Quite powdery tannin, adding some flavours of bitter chocolate. Already quite polished in terms of texture, I would say. Nothing angular or edgy. Attractive fruit with blackcurrant and some of that herbal spiciness. Fresh and vital acidity as well. Good length, stays on the palate for a good while. A fine integration of oak on the palate and on the aftertaste as well. Yeah, attractive wine. It is still youthful. It will develop much more complexity and harmony, but I think it is already pretty well assembled and everything is together. It should continue to develop well from here.
