Inky dark purple colour. The nose displays some new oak, wood, vanilla and pain d’épices with ripe dark berries, cassis and tobacco. The palate is rather full with youthful and grippy tannins, digest dark fruit, some oak flavours and good length. Still a bit tight needing time to soften and develop.
