Château Pesquié – Ascensio – 2016

Ventoux
MEDAILLE-TASTED-91-2024
France,
Rhone Valley,
Intense purple black colour. Very pure and ripe nose displaying ripe dark blackberry, violet, liquorice and tapenade notes. The palate is dense and ripe, very concentrated with notes of kirsch and crème de cassis, balanced by a nice dose of freshness, grainy tannin and a long lingering finish. A very concentrated wine still needing time to open and gain nuance but nonetheless a great effort.
