Château Plain Point – 2012

France,
Bordeaux,
Medium-deep colour, ruby-red with a slight development. Pure nose. I would say quite traditional style without any evident oak. Fruit is on the slightly lighter side with red berry fruit, plum, some herbal notes, some leafy notes, bay leaf. Medium weight on the palate. Still with quite a lot of extraction. Appearing a bit angular today on the palate. The fruit is nice with those hints of plum, red berry fruit. Then there are hints of green herbs, bay leaf. Slight presence of wood. High acidity and medium towards long finish. Still appearing a bit dry on the finish. So certainly a style I would prefer to put back in the cellar for a few years.
