Château Riou de Thaillas – 2009

Dark ruby/purple, very young and intense nose, at present dominated by new oak, vanilla and freshly crushed berries, the palate is rich and concentrated although with a high level of extraction and some gamey leathery notes, good length but a bit austere and dry on the finish today.
