France,
Provence,
Rosé wine with a classically pale colour, just a slight hint of copper. Quite fine nose, discreet but layered; there’s a hint of minerality, almond, we have lemon zest, some grape, and a slight hint of red berry fruit. Good grip on the palate. I like this style, very discreet, it’s not overtly fruity, it’s classically bone-dry, salivating on the palate with a good sense of freshness; and then I get more of those red fruity flavours, spiced up with a hint of grapefruit and lemon zest that gives a certain vibrancy to the wine. It’s rather light in a positive sense, it’s not an overtly fruity or opulent style so for a rosé I would call this light towards medium-bodied. However I think it’s a good persistence, it has length and it also has layers, it’s not just a simple tutti-frutti style, but more I would say a gastronomic style; I would be happy to drink this with more things than aperitif. I like this one, clean, fresh, zesty, well-made, with a good length as well. Good.
