Château Saint Jacques d’Albas – La Chapelle – 2012
Minervois

France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Dense ruby colour with a purple hue. Intense nose with some evolution, high ripeness, dark fruit like blackberry, mint and liquorice, reminiscent of Barossa Shiraz but yet with a touch of garrigue, especially on the taste, rich, concentrated and still youthful with tannin starting to soften, layers of inky dark fruit and a dense long finish. Interesting indeed.
