Cloof Wine Estate – Cloof Merlot – 2011

Dark inky core and a slightly developed rim. Sweet plum, fruitcake and spice notes, the palate has good weight, dense fruit and austere backbone, quite present tannin and some herbal notes, a cooler Bordeaux style that requires some further ageing.
