Clos de La George – 2013

Youthful, very bright light straw colour. Pure nose, some floral hints, some wild herbs; fennel, quince, pear. Quite discreet fruit, more of a neutral variety but very pure; there’s rather an emphasis on mineral nuttiness. Very clear and precise palate, bone-dry, nicely firm texture - in the positive sense of the word. Mouthwatering, with a good grip and youthful fresh acidity; crisp, with that mineral sensation along the finish. Well-integrated alcohol, and a nice clean long finish.
