Switzerland,
Vaud,
Youthful wine, still with traces of CO2, rather pale straw colour. Fresh nose, not an aromatic variety - more in the style of Chasselas, displaying some herbal notes, a hint of fennel; young fruit like grey pear; citrus; and I’m obliged to say mineral again. Good grip on the palate, classically bone dry, with a medium towards high acidity. This is still marked by a youthful vibrant freshness. Elegant fruit. It’s rather light-weight, but what it lacks in weight it gains in length. Good persistence. A style of wine I would call gastronomic, which is to say it’s very pure and really doesn’t dominate; and due to that purity and freshness, it is a very fine companion for a fine dish. Well-made
