France,
Bordeaux,
Quite a youthful and deep colour, still with a purplish hue. Rather dark intensity. Intense nose, I would say modern style here. Very dark and inky fruit like blackberry and cassis. High ripeness but no over-ripeness. There is also a slight degree of roasted oak, leather, some black pepper. Very good density on the palate. High concentration. I would say moderate extraction. The wine is still youthful so there is a great deal of tannin, but nothing is harsh or angular. So nicely made. I like the oakiness, really nicely underlined. Particularly there is a lot of dark and ripe berries but with a good level of acidity. Some hints of cinnamon, vanilla and very long and meaty finish. Good density, high concentration. Quite approachable today, even though this will have a long life ahead of it. Yeah, all the proportions are there. We can just gain some complexity from further ageing, but quite delicious already.
