France,
Bordeaux,
Medium deep ruby-red colour, still quite youthful appearance. Beautiful purity on the nose here, it’s really floral, displaying some mineral notes, violet, wild red berries like raspberry. No evident oak. Quite feminine if I may say so. Very delicate style here, we talk about medium weight, light to medium weight, but good flavour intensity here. We have that purity of fresh red berry fruit, wild raspberry, and a discreet spiciness, some hints of ginger and clove, vanilla. Very soft and rounded tannin here, I would talk about a rather Burgundian texture; so round, delicate, with a certain sexiness, a good purity of fruit and a clear long finish. A wine I happily drink today, I find it accessible despite its fair youth, but it will doubtlessly gain further complexity form further aging.
