Clos Saint Michel – Cuvée Réservée – 2017

Still a youthful purple core with a garnet rim. The nose exhibits cedar wood, tobacco some new oak, pepper, cassis and darker fruit. Dense and concentrated palate, it feels more Mourvèdre/Syrah due to darker fruit and plenty of pepper/spice, well-balanced with rounded tannin, high but balanced ripeness and a long generous finish.
