Rather dark garnet with a purple hue. Pure nose offering pepper, liquorice, ripe cherry, blackberry and darker than usual pinot notes. The palate shows good volume, still a slightly tannic presence but nice fruit, freshness and length, a sturctured example needing some time to soften.
