Portugal,
Alentejano,
Quite dark colour, ruby-red nuance colouring the glass. Pure nose, gentle hint of oak, with sweet fruit. More combination of dark plum, with sweet red berries, almost like preserved fruit. Gentle spiciness, with liquorice and some pepper. Generous palate, with obviously ripe fruit. Sweet and rounded backed up by quite dense, but ripe tannin. It offers a good degree of freshness on the finish, which is medium towards long in terms of aftertaste. Again, I would say this is quite nice subtle vinification. With moderate extraction and moderate oak. So fruit-forward, very generous wine to enjoy now over the coming four or five years.
