Inky dark purple core and a lighter mature rim. Fragrant nose offering cassis, dark berries, violet, sage and tobacco. The palate is dense with high tannin but fine layers, floral dark fruit flavours with crème de cassis and fine herbal spice notes leading on to a long finish. Could still improve from ageing but nice digest dark fruit.
