Cordero di Montezemolo – Monfalletto – 2012

Medium deep ruby colour with a tawny rim. Pure and generous nose blending red and dark fruit with chocolate, some wood and tobacco. The palate has medium weight, and a rounded texture, ripe tannin, red and dark berry fruit with cherry, raspberry, ginger, clove and some floral notes. The palate is still youthful but balanced, a bit on the tannic side but with crunchy red fruit and a long spicy finish.
