Inky dark purple/black core and hue. Intense notes of violet, lavender, smoked meat, blackberry, cassis, liquorice and some new oak and toast. The palate has a great concentration and power, yet quite accessible with a wealth of ripe and powdery tannin, peppery dark fruit, a nice meatiness and long muscular finish. Keep for another few years.
