Inky dark purple core. Generous nose, high ripeness with layers of floral dark fruit like blackberry, cassis, meaty and spicy notes with a hint of new oak and smoke, finely layered and nuanced. The palate is very dense and concentrated, yet with fine extract and nuance, grainy tannin, some cocoa notes, fine oak and a very fresh dark fruit in abundance, and a chewy, fresh and very long finish packed with spicy dark fruit. A lot of stuffing but finely balanced with great purity. Marvelous now and marvelous in 30 years.
