Sicily

Italy,
Sicily,
Medium to deep ruby-red colour. Getting slightly paler towards the rim, but still a quite dense core. Rather ripe nose, displaying some roasted wood with some leather notes and really ripe fruit. Almost like jammed berries, with dried cherry and dark plum. Palate has medium weight. With a quite high acidity. With dried fruit flavours, dried cherry, dried plum. Gentle hint of oak. Some dried extract on the finish. Still quite youthful tannin. A hint of wood. Medium long finish. With a slightly dry sensation. I think the tannin needs some more time to soften.
