Diamantakis Winery – Vidiano – 2015

Youthful appearance with a slightly green tinge and a moderately intense pale straw colour. Very fresh nose. I like this purity, I like this expression as well. I would say quite a Mediterranean style. With hints of fresh grapes, more white flesh fruit such as, quince, pear, citrus and fresh almond. Good mouthfeel here. I like it very much. It is a rather medium bodied, but with a good freshness and bite. There is a fine hint of bitterness but well-integrated in this example. So hints of lemon zest, youthful and fresh fruit. It does have a good length indeed. There is no oak involved, so a more pure and fresh style. Something I would imagine would perfectly match, Mediterranean grilled fish and dishes with olive oil. I do not always talk about food when I taste, but this one made my mouth water.
