Quite deep golden colour, almost amber with a hint of green. Very raw, yet with a certain maturity. I really like this style of grappa; there’s notes of wine cellar, there’s clearly wood in there. There’s also some grapey elements, spicy elements, some notes of sweetness like honey and almond paste. Very distinct on the palate, hot; but I still get the sensation that the alcohol is integrated here. Clear notes of wood and wood aging. It gives a sensation of sweetness but it still finishes dry. Quite long finish. I would say an elegant roughness really summarises this one. Really fun.
