Inky dark core with a mature ruby rim. Pure nose with some evolution, darker fruit like cassis and cherry with fine spices, tobacco and mild oak notes. Dense core, still with a slight tannic firmness to it, savoury dark fruit flavours with aniseed, dry spices and some oak, rather long but still a bit tight needing time to open.
