France,
Burgundy,
Red wine with already developed colour, medium-deep ruby, slightly tawny rim. The nose is discrete, giving off rather elegant fruit, red berries, raspberry and plum; also with some meaty notes, and then we have that fine spice box. Like a lot of Pinot Noir, I find those white wine aromas coming out, like sweet apricot almost, some citrus like red grapefruit. There’s some wood there, giving off just some discrete roasted notes, but very fine. Excellent bite on the palate. I wouldn’t talk about a full-bodied style here, it keeps within the medium-bodied frame, but it has excellent proportions, I think that the tannins are well-distributed, very silky and refined. Delicious red fruit, fine acidity; it’s all in good proportions there. It’s still youthful however, this is very much a style that will take time to develop more complexity, but I think it already has a good harmony, fine balance. A wine which is certainly made in a more delicate and elegant style. More emphasis on length and breadth, certainly with a good potential. Very delicious already now, but from experience I know that this style of wine is really gaining a lot of weight and power with age. A really nice wine
