France,
Burgundy,
White wine, clear, light golden colour. Rather intense nose, good purity there, some new oak, roasted almonds; some mild spices, and quite delicious fruit there, youthful stone fruit, ripe lemon, some floral notes. Quite complex there, a lot of layers. Good grip on the palate. Despite that quite yellow fruit character and the roasted hints, it’s classically bone dry, leaving the palate salivating, mouthwatering. Well preserved acidity. Nicely austere there, despite the wine’s quite opulent texture. Good grip, very long finish. Still a youthful example, with some oak present on the palate, but it will easily integrate within the few coming years, and I think that oak adds quite nice note of vanilla, roasted nuts. Beautiful yellow fruit, crisp and mineral finish. Very nice wine, with an excellent future.
