Domaine de Barville – Optimum – 2009

Dark purple red with violet hue and almost black centre. On the nose intense spiciness, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla. Roasted aroma, dark berry fruit. On the palate velvety character, well structured and mature tannins. A wine with convincing length, and for its vintage, exceptional backbone.
