Inky dark purple core and hue. Pure nose offering ripe red and black currant with sage, tobacco, pepper, and violet, with no noticeable oak. Dense palate, not too bold rather medium weight but with dense fruit, ripe but plentiful tannin adding freshness, elegant spiciness and a long vigorous finish.
