Medium deep ruby red color. Layered nose, some new oak and toast, sweet fruit, pepper, wild herbs, licorice, and tobacco notes. The palate is still a bit youthful with some tannic grip and fresh acidity, yet no hard edges, sweet fruit flavors, tobacco and a long peppery finish. Well made just needing some more time to open.
