Intense dark purple core and slightly lighter rim. The nose shows darker fruit like cassis and cherry with some leather and gamey notes, pepper and bouquet garni. The palate is still youthful in an austere frame, grippy young tannin, plum and sour red berry flavours. Rather long but still a bit restrained and firm needing time to open.
