France,
Loire Valley,
Medium deep colour. It is still a bit youthful with a purple presence, ruby-red toward the rim. The nose displays a certain spiciness, some dried spiciness, like white pepper. Some woody notes like cedar wood. Fruit is more on the red fruity side, with redcurrant, raspberry and a slight herbal presence. Palate has a, I would say, medium weight. Still appearing very youthful with high acidity. Youthful tannin, however, ripe tannin. It is just a matter of time, it should integrate nicely in the coming one to two years. Some floral notes like violet, with red fruit. Medium towards long finish with some fresh white pepper, some herbal notes. I would like to put this back in the cellar for just a short period of time, one to two years to round off the edges and then it should be a quite enjoyable wine.
