Dark garnet with a purple hue. Pure and intense with some new oak, ripe dark berries, pepper and truffle. The palate is dense and ample with layers of spicy dark fruit, still a youthful texture, and slight tannic bite but fine material with ample dark fruit and a long vigorous finish, needing some aeration or further ageing to open up fully.
