France,
Rhone Valley,
Medium towards deep core, slightly ruby-purple. Nose is floral, with red fruity notes. There’s a slight hint of oak, and that sweet spiciness almost like apricot and ginger, rather sun-ripe. Juicy palate there, good volume, medium towards full, with a youthful tannic presence but quite finely grained, nice freshness on the finish, however it’s a rather ripe style, we feel slightly elevated alcohol there. A hint of oak is expressed on the palate as well. Medium towards long. Still a bit youthful, should definitely gain a bit more from another year in the cellar. Generous fruit, Southern style, plenty of fruit, just give it a bit of time for the tannins and the slight hint of oak to integrate.
