Medium to dark ruby red colour. Rather ripe and fleshy nose, feels rather Châteauneuf-like with bold fruit, garrigue, lavender and mild spices. The palate has a good density and vigour with lush fruit balanced by an herbal spiciness, pepper and bright freshness, rich but polished tannin, layers of red and dark fruit and a long, fleshy finish, well made. Certainly a CDR punching above its weight.
