Inky dark purple core and hue. Pure nose offering violet, ripe cherry, cassis, sage, and tobacco. The palate shows good concentration and density with plenty of tannins adding freshness and crushed dark berry notes with a mild spiciness and long muscular finish. Still a bit on the tannic side needing time to open but good material.
