Youthful bright dark purple colour. Pure nose offering fruit from the darker side of the spectrum like black currant, dark cherry with liquorice and aniseed notes and a mild hint of oak. Nicely rounded palate, plenty of freshness and grainy tannin, cocoa and dark berry flavours with fine balance and layers. Long and lingering finish, a vin de garde, yet drinking really well already.
