France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Red wine with a medium towards deep colour, there’s still some flashes of purple-blue in there, and a fairly deep core. The nose is very generous, displaying fruit, rather ripe sweet fruits, blackberry, plum, quite toned-down oak. Fine palate, quite polished, once again this is a rather fruit-driven style. It has a good tannic bite to it, a good backbone. The tannins are still young but they’re ripe. We have sweet fruit but the palate is still classically dry and well restrained. I would place this somewhere in the medium-bodied category, as it’s not too opulent or rich; good degree of freshness, very pure fruit, modern fruit with a clean profile, dark cherry, blackberry. Aftertaste is medium towards long, keeps lingering for a while, and it leaves on the palate a sensation of clean fruit. A wine with a good drinkability today, but still with the structure to age for the coming few years in your cellar.
