Switzerland,
Lavaux,
Light golden colour. Very intense nose; interesting nose displaying a slight almost overripeness like honey, candied fruit, pineapple, and sweet citrus. There’s a slight hint of wood, vanilla. Interesting combination, the nose was displaying that lush opulence and sweetness, however the palate is still classically bone dry; it’s obviously ripe grapes, but the wine is vinified in this bone-dry style. It’s a quite opulent texture, rich mouthfeel, quite viscous with elevated alcohol, but well-preserved acidity, well-integrated oak. Quite much in the white Bordeaux style, waxy, aromatic and ripe. Really good grip, long, lingering finish, warm and ripe, but still bone-dry fresh.
