Domaine Michel Magnien – Clos de la Roche – 2009

Very dark colour for a Burgundy; the nose is fairly modern displaying new oak, dark fruit, plum, blackcurrant and cherry; the palate is more restrained with rather elegant dark fruit with attractive clean freshness, soft tannins and a long persistence, juicy blackcurrant flavours on the finish - should still develop its full fine potential.
