Inky dark core and a purple hue. Very pure and intense nose offering black cherry, cassis, dark chocolate, black truffle, fine tobacco, a fine hint of oak and 5 spices. Superb weight, density and concentration with great balance despite its youth, powdery tannin, a good sense of freshness despite its ripe and unctuous nature, very intense and lingering flavours with an approaching complexity and nuance even though it should be best 8 to 10 years from now. Tremendous length and a powerful imposing finish.
