Austria,
Burgenland,
Medium-deep, ruby-red colour with some development towards the rim. The nose displays some roasted notes, some hints of coffee bean, redcurrant. There are some herbaceous notes here, some herbal spiciness. A gentle hint of oak. Palate has medium weight, quite sweet fruity character with hints of redcurrant. There is a good deal of herbal spiciness and white pepper. Still youthful with quite protruding tannins. High acidity, not a lot of oak to talk about. Medium towards long finish. Quite lingering, but at this moment it is still more about tannin and extract, the fruit is a bit concealed. It should preferably deserve some more time in this cellar before attempting to drink it.
