Domaines Ott – Château Ramassan – 2016

Intense dark ruby colour with a purple hue. Intense and layered nose with plenty of black fruit, cassis, pepper, clove, fine tobacco, a hint of wood and lovely meaty notes. The palate has a tremendous structure and weight finely underlined by a bright acidity, ripe but plentiful tannin, layers of peppery dark fruit with fine nuance and complexity. Very long and lingering finish, a youthful wine that will continue to grow but already quite tempting.
