Hungary,
Szekszard,
Red wine with a quite deep intensity, still a rather black purple core, slightly lighter rim. Discreet nose to start, I would call this on the spicy side, peppery like black pepper, some clove; a hint of oak. The fruit is quite discrete at first but it’s rather on the dark fruity side, with hints of dark plum, blackberry. Quite full palate, quite rounded texture as well, so good weight. Extract is there but it’s rather mellow. I get this spicy dark fruit again, with dark pepper, those dark plummy notes. Alcohol is well in balance as well. It keeps lingering; I’d rather call this a medium towards long finish, in a nice fruit-forward style with discreet oak. Still youthful, but perfectly drinkable with a potential for a few more years in the cellar.
