Argentina,
Cafayate Valley,
Very dark and inky colour, impenetrable purple-black. Very youthful. Floral nose, quite intense. Good purity here, with hints of violet, dark fruit such as cassis, plum, blackberry. There are some mild spices there, like black pepper, with some hints of quite ripe herbs; like sage, some anise seed. High concentration. Dense fruit. Good weight and a moderate extract. Quite grainy tannin. Overall a fine balance here. I find decent drinkability already today. Mild acidity, but well integrated. Really an emphasis on this lushes dark fruit. Not too much wood noticeable. Some sweet spiciness on the finish; like ginger and clove. Pretty long and persistent.
