Austria,
Burgenland,
Quite dense colour here, youthful with a purple hue. Fine nose. Displaying a lot of ripe fruit. Really with an emphasis on dark fruit such as blackberry and plum. Very gentle hint of roasted oak. Very juicy and attractive here. Quite full-bodied already with a polished texture. Lots of sweet fruit here. Fresh berry fruit, notably blackberry and plum. There is a quite mellow acidity. It still does have the sensation of freshness thanks to the presence of quite finely grained tannin. Some floral hints on the aftertaste, violet, with typical spiciness, of clove and ginger. Modern, opulent, yet balanced in terms of extraction and oak. It does have a long finish. With fine layers, good proportions. Really enjoyable today, but this is a wine that should have a potential for at least another five to seven years in a good cellar.
