Erich Scheiblhofer – The Legends – 2013

Youthful colour here, quite dense with a purple hue. Very modern nose, with a quite high ripeness of fruit here. A lot of cassis, plum and blackberry. There is a slight hint of roasted wood and a sweet spiciness. Palate is quite full-bodied, but rather modern I would say with a high ripeness of fruit. Rounded texture there is a slight hint of youthful tannin, but really rounded with attractive sweet fruit. Particularly blackcurrant, plum. There is a slight pepperiness on the palate. Fairly long finish. Still a youthful wine, however, I find it quite enjoyable. Even though it should have the potential for additional six to eight years in a good cellar. Good concentration, but with moderate amounts of oak and extraction.
