Austria,
Steiermark,
Youthful and pale colour here, low intensity, very bright. Still with a youthful green shine to it. Pure nose. Quite discreet, but with certain elegance. There is a mineral presence here. Barely ripe fruit, with hints of gooseberry, pear, with some fresh almond. Aromatic herbs, citrus and lime. Very good bite on the palate. This is really what I would call positively austere, nicely backward with really mouth-watering, juicy acidity. Good grip and extract. Youthful and zesty flavours, barely ripe green pear, with some lemongrass, ginger on the finish. Long mineral and salivating. Still appears youthful but I like it very much for its firm, flinty sensation on the palate. It should certainly develop complexity over the coming years.
