Austria,
Steiermark,
Youthful colour here, very low intensity, slight green hue, indicating youth. Elegant nose. It is obviously quite aromatic Sauvignon style, but I think it is well-restrained. There is barely ripe green fruit on the nose with pear, gooseberry, mineral presence. Some flinty notes, fresh lime, ginger. Nice spiciness. Slight hint of fresh almond. Very good grip on the palate. It is not more than medium weight in structure, but I really like the flavour intensity here. Still very youthful and restrained fruit. I kind of like it more with an emphasis of minerality, ripe lemon, with lime, aromatic herbs. Very long and lingering finish. This is really again, it is lean and austere today, but in a positive sense of it. The fruit is well kept there, it should certainly continue develop into something rounder and bolder. I very much like it today the way it is. Elegant nuttiness on the finish, really long and juicy. Fine potential here.
