Estelle & Rodolphe Cognard – Les Malgagnes – 2019

Youthful dark garnet with a purple hue. Layered nose offering small dark berries, cassis, plum, fresh herbs and tobacco with mild oak underneath. Dense palate in a medium body with present but ripe tannin, savoury dark berry flavours with a fine herbaceous spiciness and fresh backbone leading to a long vigorous finish.
